Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, is a safe, non-invasive diagnostic test that allows radiologists to see inside some areas of the body that cannot be seen using X-rays.

MRI allows physicians to see soft tissue once only accessible through exploratory surgery. As a result, many health problems can be diagnosed at an earlier and treatable stage. Depending on the type of MRI, this exam usually takes 15-60 minutes. To get the best picture, it is important to relax and remain still during the test.

For the convenience and comfort of our patients, we offer:

- Two high-field short bore scanners.
- Sedation provided by on site physicians for patients who are anxious or in significant pain.
- Optional sound system for added relaxation.
- Attentive and compassionate care for all patients including pediatric patients.
- Two facilities with plenty of parking, independent from a hospital setting, make us easily accessible.

Types of MRI exams include:

- Brain, neck, spine, chest, abdomen and pelvis.
- MR arthrography for the evaluation of painful hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists.
- Soft tissue structures, including liver and other internal organs.
- Breast (exam uses gadolinium to illuminate abnormal breast tissue).
- Cardiovascular system and blood vessels (also known as magnetic resonance angiography).

MRI is used to view internal structures using combinations of
radio waves and magnetic fields. This procedure is safe and
does not use radiation.
X-ray is a form of electromagnetic radiation used to produce
images of bones and internal organs.
Ultrasound uses high-frequency waves and a computer
to view images of blood vessels, tissues, and organs,
as well as to observe fetal development.
Mammography is a screening and diagnostic
technique that uses low-dose X-rays to
find abnormalities in the breast.
Our NEW Dynacad technology aids radiologists in the detection
of breast lesions, and determines if these lesions are benign
or suspicious and would warrant biopsy.
