IN PREPARATION FOR YOUR VISIT:
No special preparation is required for an X-ray visit.

Xray is the most commonly employed form of radiology and is frequently used to complement other imaging studies.

Because X-rays are performed quickly, Central Maine Imaging Center can accommodate same day appointments for X-ray. Walk-ins are encouraged as well, with only a quick call to the center prior to the patients arrival letting us know they are coming.

X-ray is a form of electromagnetic radiation used to produce
images of bones and internal organs.
Ultrasound uses high-frequency waves and a computer
to view images of blood vessels, tissues, and organs,
as well as to observe fetal development.
Our NEW Dynacad technology aids radiologists in the detection
of breast lesions, and determines if these lesions are benign
or suspicious and would warrant biopsy.
Mammography is a screening and diagnostic
technique that uses low-dose X-rays to
find abnormalities in the breast.
MRI is used to view internal structures using combinations of
radio waves and magnetic fields. This procedure is safe and
does not use radiation.
